This document describes how to tell if your Cisco TelePresence Server is a Conference controller.
Cisco recommends that you have knowledge of Cisco TelePresence Servers.
The information in this document is based on Cisco TelePresence Servers.
The information in this document was created from the devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, make sure that you understand the potential impact of any command.
Log in to the TelePresence Server and go to the Status page.
Locate the Conference control field.
If your TelePresence Server is a Conference controller, the field shows Conference controller - this system will manage all conferences.
What does this mean?
Every TelePresence Server includes an application that controls its media processing. However, the control application can also control media processing on further TelePresence Servers. This allows you to use a single set of endpoint and conference configurations, across a group of TelePresence Servers, and monitor them as a single system that can handle more simultaneous calls than a single TelePresence Server.
