If you're not hearing any dial tone after pressing the Call button on the phone, this is may be because of a base station that is not properly connected to the telephone line, a handset that is too far away from the base station's range, and a low battery capacity. To resolve this, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Make sure the RJ-11 telephone line cord is properly connected to the LINE port of the base station and the telephone wall jack.
Step 2: Make sure that the base station is powered ON.
Step 3: Move the handset closer to the base station. It may be out of range already.
Step 4: Place the handset on the charger to recharge the batteries.
