Product Overview
The Cisco® Edge 340 Digital Media Player (DMP) is a unified content storage, delivery, and media platform. It can be used to deliver highly interactive multimedia experiences to your customers and employees, regardless of your business size or vertical industry, for promotional, educational, and entertainment purposes. The Edge 340 makes it possible to store and deliver your content locally or across many dispersed locations from the cloud to digital signs, kiosks, way-finders, IPTV apps, and other connected devices. Ultimately, the Cisco Edge 340 DMP helps your organization communicate, connect, learn, and engage customers and employees in new ways.
Compared with PC-based alternatives, the Cisco Edge 340 DMP delivers the benefits of a highly reliable, robust platform that excels at power efficiency. These qualities make the Edge 340 the industry leader in the digital media player market. Cisco Edge 340 DMPs have both wireless and non-wireless versions (Figure 1); the wireless version supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions.
