Acquiring customers. Expanding products and services. Hiring more staff. You've got enough to focus on.

Cisco can help your company connect and collaborate better—so you can stay focused on your business. Along with providing a solid network, Cisco SMB Solutions can help you:

  • Reduce costs. Having one network for data, voice, and wireless simplifies network installation and management, which reduces costs. It helps cut phone costs and long-distance charges too.
  • Provide secure, remote access. Give everyone secure access to the tools they need to communicate effectively and collaborate easily, even when they're on the go. Extend your phone system to mobile workers over wired and wireless connections.
  • Prepare for the future. You can add new capabilities—such as wireless and voice—as needed, without expensive upgrades.

Need to start smaller? Talk to your Cisco Certified Channel Partner about starting with a basic data-access network. Then, over time, you can add capabilities to address your business challenges in a way that's right for you.

Cisco SMB Solutions help you connect to your network and securely access the information and applications you need. Our solutions give you new ways to deliver service to your customers, extend supply-chain access to your partners, and provide essential business tools to your employees.

And once you have a secure network foundation in place, it's easy to add new technologies and capabilities as you need them. A typical Cisco SMB Solution consists of the following:

  • A secure network foundation that connects various devices, such as PCs, servers, and printers to keep everyone connected and productive even when they're out of the office.
  • Combined voice and data:, Voice, data, voicemail, instant messaging, automated attendant capabilities, video, and remote-access security are all built into one network to make communications easier and better. You can also connect everyday applications, such as your desktop calendar, to your phone system—extending the capabilities of both tools.
  • Wireless: Wireless technology lets your people connect to your network whether they're roaming around the office or sitting in a conference room. They can connect from remote locations, too, such as an airport departure lounge. Cisco wireless solutions also help minimize wireless coverage gaps, boost wireless network performance, and provide secure guest access to your wireless network.

Contact your Cisco partner for further details about this solution—or find one with validated credentials in your area. You can also connect with a service provider who can host and manage your solution.

Cisco SMB Solutions combine a full-fledged phone system with a secure data network, so you have just one network to maintain. You can use each system component independently, but they're designed to work together. Some of the components you may need are:

  • Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series for Small Business appliances combine voice, data, integrated voicemail, video, automated attendant and basic call center capabilities, and support for optional wireless networking. The appliances also include advanced security, such as firewall and virtual private networks (VPNs) They work with Cisco Catalyst Express Series Switches to deliver a secure, high-performance network foundation as part of the Cisco Smart Business Communications System, an all-in-one system built specifically for small businesses that combines voice, data, wireless, and security.
  • Cisco Integrated Services Routers 800, 1800, and 2800 Series connect your network to the Internet and other networks. The 800 Series gives you built-in security, software that reduces the number of appliances and simplifies management of network devices, and support for wireless connectivity and VPNs. The 1800 Series adds voice and unified communications, and the 2800 Series adds to that support for video.
  • Cisco Unified IP Phones 7900 Series are advanced telephones that connect to your combined voice-data network. They're as easy to use as standard phones, yet can deliver a wealth of information—such as employee directories and inventory information—directly to every handset.
