Cisco Unwrap Your Presence Program

This offer applies to both Cisco Unified Communications Manager appliance orders as well as new software-only orders. This offer makes it easy for Cisco customers and partners to experience the media-rich capabilities of Cisco Unified Communications. As part of the “Unwrap Your Presence” offer, a Cisco Unified Presence media kit is included with each new Cisco Unified Communications Manager shipment. The media kit contains a DVD with Cisco Unified Presence software, a software license, and product documentation.

Cisco is including complimentary Cisco Unified Presence 6.0 base software with every order of Cisco Unified Communications Manager 5.1, 6.0, 6.1 and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition 6.0, 6.1 until January 2nd 2009.

This promotion will not be available for new orders of Cisco Unified Communications Manager 7.x or upgrades to Cisco Unified Communications 7.x.

Program Details

When placing an order for Cisco Unified Communications Manager 5.1, 6.0, 6.1 and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition 6.0, 6.1 (appliance or new software-only orders), Cisco Unified Presence software will be automatically added to the order at no charge.
Cisco Unified Communications Operate Services (any version of Essential Operate or Select Operate Services) is not included as part of this promotion and should be manually added to the order to ensure that the customer receives the appropriate TAC support for Cisco Unified Presence.
Cisco Unified Communications Software Subscription is not included as part of this promotion and should be manually added to receive future upgrades of Cisco Unified Presence software.
Cisco Unified Communications Manager customers will be provided all necessary documentation and license information in order to install and deploy Cisco Unified Presence when they receive the software.
The customer is responsible for providing the necessary hardware to deploy Cisco Unified Presence. Please consult the Cisco Unified Presence server compatibility matrix for supported server models.

Q: Is there any time limitation associated with the Unwrap Your Presence offering?

A: Yes. This complimentary offer to add Cisco Unified Presence base software with Cisco Unified Communication Manager 5.1, 6.0, 6.1 and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition 6.0, 6.1 orders ends on January 2nd 2009.

In addition, previously announced limited-time promotional offer of 10 Cisco Unified Presence User licenses and 10 Cisco Personal Unified Communicator client licenses as part of Unwrap Your Presence program expired in January 30, 2008.

Q: Are there any restrictions on the Unwrap Your Presence offering? Can it be used with any other promotions?

A: There are no restrictions on this offering and it can be used in conjunction with any other Cisco offering or promotion.

Q: How is the Cisco Unified Presence software deployed with Cisco Unified Communications Manager?

A: Each Cisco Unified Communications Manager cluster requires a separate instance of Cisco Unified Presence software. The Cisco Unified Presence software can be deployed as either a single server or a unique cluster of 2 servers for scalability and reliability. Q: Is the Unwrap Your Presence offering available to customers as part of a SAS/SASU or UCSS upgrade?

A: Cisco Unified Presence 6.0 is provided for appliance orders, new software orders, and upgrade orders of Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.1. It is not included as part of a SAS/SASU or UCSS upgrade for Cisco Unified Communications Manager. UCSS upgrades can be purchased independently for Cisco Unified Presence.

Q: Does this promotion apply to software upgrade orders?

A: It applies to software upgrades for Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.1. However, it does not apply to software upgrades for Cisco Unified Communications Manager 5.1, 6.0. This offer will also not apply to software upgrades for Cisco Unified Communications 7.0.
