TCS, one of the largest IT services companies, is part of strategic alliances. The key focus of the Cisco - TCS alliance will be Next Generation Data Centers. Cisco and TCS will help customers build or evolve Next Generation Data Centers by taking advantage of the Network as a platform. Cisco and TCS will develop go-to-market solutions related to infrastructure and network requirements. Both companies will invest significantly in skill development and training labs to provide end to end solutions to meet customer requirements. This is evident in a key initiative announced by TCS on the Cisco Practice unit in India. TCS today has over 500 Cisco certified people which is set to double within a year. Leveraging Cisco technologies, this Practice will create products, solutions and services. Another partnership initiative is the Cisco R&D Lab in TCS Chennai.
