It is my privilege to present to you the inaugural issue of 'Alliance Advantage' 'Alliance Advantage' will showcase what is happening in the world of Cisco Strategic Alliances. The Alliance Mantra is to leverage the' power of partnership' to design a new eco-system by bringing together both the best of technology and industry partners who share the same vision and together, co create pathbreaking innovations. This issue covers the new initiatives on the Cisco - Wipro alliance, the firming up of another key partnership, with TCS, and our core areas of focus. The current highlight of the Cisco Wipro partnership was the first ''Alliance World 2009'' held in Dubai and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The two new solutions - IP Telephony and Cisco Microsoft Interoperability- were launched in this exciting market. This apart, Cisco and Wipro will concentrate on Mass Urbanization on a more significant scale. The Cisco - TCS partnership will focus on Data Center and Virtualization and do note that TATA is a key customer for Cisco TelePresence. Another core focus area is PSS in which we are in advanced discussions with The Taj Group. Strategic Alliances will see plenty of action in the coming months and I will keep you posted.
