Silicon and Supplicant Suppliers

Silicon and supplicant suppliers are important participants in the Cisco Compatible Extensions Program. Although they don't supply end user wireless LAN devices direct to corporate customers, their reference designs are a central part of all WLAN products. These suppliers provide the chipsets used in all the Cisco Compatible WLAN devices.

Below please find two tables that present current and past Silicon Suppliers that have licensed Cisco Compatible Extensions to be included in their reference designs:

  • Table 1 lists silicon and supplicant suppliers who are members of the current Cisco Developer Network Program from 2009 onward. These silicon and supplicant suppliers are the preferred partners for the Cisco Compatible Extensions program.
  • Table 2 lists legacy silicon and supplicant suppliers who were partners under the previous Cisco Compatible Extensions program that ran from 2001 to 2009. These partners are not members of the current Cisco Developer Network Program. This information is displayed for historical reference.
