Silicon and supplicant suppliers are important participants in the Cisco Compatible Extensions Program. Although they don't supply end user wireless LAN devices direct to corporate customers, their reference designs are a central part of all WLAN products. These suppliers provide the chipsets used in all the Cisco Compatible WLAN devices. Below please find two tables that present current and past Silicon Suppliers that have licensed Cisco Compatible Extensions to be included in their reference designs:
