The Cisco Compatible Extensions program for Wi-Fi tags allows customers with a Cisco Unified Wireless Network and a Cisco Location solution to benefit from the latest innovation and technology advancements offered by Cisco’s technology partners. This program offers improved consistency and interoperability among Cisco’s Compatible Extensions technology partners. You can now deploy tags from different technology partners in the same environment because:

• The information complies with the Cisco Compatible Extensions format
• The information is captured by the Cisco Wireless Location Appliance, which also provides an open API to allow third-party applications to use the captured information for non-technical users
