The following Product Life Cycle chart helps to understand the progression of an ATP in relation to a Specialization.
Product Life Cycle

Program Participation
Participation in this program is by invitation. After a Cisco sponsor invites a partner qualified in a relevant technology into the program, the partner then must meet program requirements specific to that technology. These requirements guide partners through rigorous training and knowledge validation to help them develop and demonstrate expertise.
Below is a list of current ATP program offerings with description of partner capability:
3200 - Mobile Access Router
Business Ready Data Center
Cable
Internet Protocol Contact Center 5.0
IP Telephony Remote Networking Operations
Managed Security Service Provider
Metro Ethernet EttX and EttB
Network Hosted Storage Applications
Optical - Metro DWDM
Optical - Metro Transport
Rich Media Communications
Security Fast Start
Service Control
Voice over IP for Service Providers
Retired ATPs
As the market for networking technology and customer needs evolve, so does the strategic importance of Cisco ATPs. When the relevance and market value of a specific technology or services ATP becomes mainstream, it becomes necessary to transition that ATP into a Specialization.
The following ATP program offerings have been retired:
- Call Manager Express (CCME)
- Content Networking
- Customer Contact - Intelligent Contact Manager (ICM)
- Customer Contact - Network Applications Manager (NAM)
- Customer Interaction Suite
- IPCC Express
- IP Telephony Basic
- Optical Long Haul Transport
