Q. What is the Cisco Business Ready Teleworker Solution Specialization?
A. The Cisco Business Ready Teleworker (BRT) Solution Specialization provides valuable training to partners who want to continue to develop expertise in delivering end-to-end, customer-focused network solutions based on multiple technologies, not just one or two.. Successful completion of the program demonstrates a partner's enhanced capabilities in the areas of IPSec VPN (V3PN) security, remote management and IP Communications to meet customers' business needs, today and into the future.
Q. What type of partner is the program targeting?
A. A typical partner for the program will have an IP Telephony-Revised Specialization or an IP Communications Specialization and a VPN\Security Specialization, and has experience selling and delivering pres-sales, planning, design, operations, and optimization services to the mid- and high-end enterprise market.
Q. What are the benefits to customers of a partner's participation in the BRT Solution Specialization program?
A: Dealing with multiple vendors and integrating products strains the resources of even large companies with dedicated IT departments. By working with a single partner that is capable of integrating several key Cisco technologies—routing and switching, security, network management, and IP voice—your customer will benefit by having all the solution components working seamlessly together.
Q: Are partners required to be a part of the Cisco Channel Partner program?
A: Yes. Partners must be a Cisco Registered Partner, which is a prerequisite for all partners who are participating in Cisco Channel Partner programs. Interested partners may apply to become a Cisco Registered Partner.
Q: Are partners required to have individual Cisco career certifications to be accepted into the program?
A: Yes. Each job role identified within the BRT Solution Specialization is aligned to one or several individual Cisco career certifications. Please see the "Role Requirements" section for a detailed listing of requirements.
Q. What service and support is available for the Business Ready Teleworker solution?
A. SMARTNet is available for all applicable devices and Software Application Support (SAS)/ Software Application Support Plus Upgrades (SASU) is available for all applicable software included in the BRT solution. In addition, Advanced Services (such as planning, design, and implementation) are available directly from Cisco.
Q. How will the partner provide post-sales support for the Cisco BRT solution?
A. The partner will provide support using its Cisco Shared Support (SSP), Cisco Brand Resale (BR), or SIS98 support agreement(s) applicable to the products in the Cisco BRT solution.
Q. Can the partner open Cisco Technical Assistance Center cases both online and over the phone?
A. Yes. Partners can receive support via Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) online and by phone. When opening a case or discussing a support requirement, please remember to reference the product requiring the support, to ensure that your service request will be directed to the appropriate TAC team.
Q. What is the renewal policy for the program?
A: Specializations are valid for one year. Partners are required to renew annually.
Q. I still have questions. Who should I contact?
A: Visit the Cisco Partner Help Tool. The Cisco support team will assist you and try to answer any questions that you may have.
Q: Where can I find out more about the new BRT Solution Specialization?
A: Current program information can be found on the BRT Solution Specialization Website.
