The Cisco Business Ready Teleworker (BRT) Specialization will retire on 20 March 2007
The last day to submit an application for the Cisco Business Ready Teleworker (BRT) Specialization will be 20 March 2006.

The Cisco Business Ready Teleworker (BRT) Specialization recognizes Cisco Partners for their knowledge and expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco voice-and video-enabled IPSec Virtual Private Networks (V3PN). This architecture uses high-speed broadband access and features quality of service (QoS) for advanced applications, such as integrated security and remote management, that help to make the home office a true extension of the corporate network.

The Cisco BRT program is an always-on, secure, and IT-managed solution for teleworker access to the corporate network. This program helps improve business continuance and increase productivity by enabling teleworkers to continue working when unforseen events that might interfere with connection, such as weather and traffic, occur.

The Cisco BRT Specialization was designed to take advantage of existing course work, exams, and certifications. Partners who have achieved certification in the following technology specializations are eligible to participate:

  • IP Telephony-Revised Specialization

    or

    IP Communications Specialization

    and
  • VPN/Security Specialization

The Cisco Business Ready Teleworker Specialization is worth 15 Extra Credit points required for Certification under the Cisco Channel Partner Program.

Note: Existing specialized and ATP partners will keep their badge(s) until its annual specified expiration date. However, if a partner achieves one of the new IPC specializations before the existing specialization or Advanced Technology Program expires, the old specialization and/or ATP will be invalid. Partners may not hold more than one IPC specialization at a time (for instance, a partner cannot hold the IPT-Revised Specialization and an IPC Express or an IPC Specialization).
