Cisco announces the retirement of two WW Channels specializations. This will reduce the number of available specializations from 12 to 10. On March 20, 2007 the following specializations will be retired:
Partners are being provided up to 14 months to transition to another specialization under the following time lines:
- Partners holding any of the specializations listed above that expire on or before March 20, 2006 will need to renew their Specialization application online at http://tools.cisco.com/WWChannels/cpapp/atp/SelectApplication.do. Applications will not be accepted on or after March 21, 2006. Partners who meet the requirements and successfully achieve the specialization prior to the March 20, 2006 deadline will retain the specialization and extra credit points towards their Channel Partner Certification until March 20, 2007, when the specializations noted above retire.
- Partners who wish to apply for either specialization listed above for the first time will need to qualify, complete, and submit the specialization application online by March 20, 2006. Applications will not be accepted on or after March 21, 2006. Partners who successfully achieve the specialization prior to the March 20, 2006 application deadline will keep the specialization and extra credit points towards their Channel Partner certification until March 20, 2007, when the specializations above retire.
- Partners holding any of the specializations above whose renewal date is on or after March 21, 2006 and are in full compliance with the specialization requirements will automatically be extended until March 20, 2007, when the specializations above retire.
