The Cisco network security solution provides comprehensive PCI DSS compliance based on an architecture that has been audited by a qualified PCI security assessor, and provides solutions for:

  • Small offices with support for NAC, Cisco Security Agent, content management, and mobile devices with a resilient WAN design
  • Midsize and large stores that add an Ethernet distribution layer and more resilient wide-area network design
  • Data centers with designs that include WAN aggregation, core infrastructure, and server and storage configurations
  • Separate Internet access to provide segmented and secure access from the Internet
  • Verification of compliance to specific PCI DSS requirements covering the network architecture design including reliability, firewall, and IPS capabilities as well as security best practices

 

A service that achieves the Cisco Powered managed service designation meets or surpasses standards for a premium service experience as defined by Cisco and industry best practices. The designated services have been validated against Cisco's exacting standards through an objective, independent audit.

All MSCP managed services must include proactive monitoring from your NOC, service availability 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and SLAs with terms of one or more years.

Requirements
Prerequisites
  • Meet all Managed Service requirements in Offer-Based Audit Document
  • Minimum of two customer references
  • Service-level agreement (SLA) and published Managed Services Description (MSD)
  • At least one CCSP on staff for skilled service desk case escalations
  • Provide service coverage (country availability)
  • Must offer a Managed Service based on the Cisco Solution that is designed to meet compliance of the networking components of the PCI-DSS standard.
Service Design
  • Demonstrate support for firewall, IPS, network admission control, and Cisco Security Agent
  • Demonstrate adherence to validated designs for small, medium, and large offices including support for mobile devices, security policies for data access, and resilient LAN and WAN designs
  • Demonstrate adherence to data center design for WAN aggregation, data center infrastructure design, server, and content management
  • Support for separate Internet access solution conforming to PCI-DSS guidelines
  • Adherence to PCI-DSS requirements for device and data management
  • Implementation of core security functions for IPS, Firewall, CSA, and NAC throughout the solution design in accordance with PCI-DSS requirements
Service Level Management Requirements
  • SLAs and metrics as defined by requirements document
  • Customer portal
  • External and internal reporting
