Increased Benefits for Partners

The Cisco Advanced Data Center Storage Networking (DCSN) Specialization continues to provide valuable training across Cisco MDS 9000 storage networking product lines and technologies to partners specializing in end-to-end storage solutions, who typically have existing resale relationships with one or more original storage manufacturers (OSMs) and/or solution technology integrators (STIs).

Starting May 12, 2009, the following new benefits are available to Cisco Advanced DCSN Specialized Partners, providing further justification for partners investing in DCSN Specialization:

• DCSN Specialized Partners are eligible for generous back-end rewards on selected MDS 9000 storage switching products through Cisco's Data Center Advantage Incentive Program (DCAIP), regardless of where they source (OSM, STI, or directly through Cisco). • The Advanced DCSN and Advanced Data Center Networking Infrastructure (DCNI) Specializations are both required for Cisco partners to qualify for sale of Cisco's Unified Computing System.
• Direct, unrestricted access to MDS 9100 Series and 9200 Series fabric switches (and MDS 9500 Series director switches when the exception process is approved) is available through participating Cisco Authorized Distributors.
• Free online DCSN Specialization training and updated exams are available to partners worldwide. Visit the Role Requirements page for more information about training and requirements for achieving the Cisco DCSN Specialization.

Note that DCSN Specialized Partners will continue to be listed on Cisco's Partner Locator as "go-to" partners for storage networking.
