Managed Services ATP Remote: Unified Contact Center Enterprise Program Requirements


To achieve the Managed Services ATP Remote: Unified Contact Center Enterprise designation, managed services providers must fulfill each of the following defined roles:

  • Account Manager
  • Systems Engineer
  • Deployment Engineer/Tactical Support Engineer
  • Project Manager

Note: Role sharing guidelines for ATPs are unique and specific for each ATP program. These guidelines sit outside of the role sharing guidelines used for specializations and certifications, allowing a partner to utilize roles that have already been assigned in one or more specialization or certification programs. Only employees may fulfill roles. One individual may not perform more than one role within this program.

Following are the program requirements:


Account Manager (Minimum of One Required)
The account manager will handle the account management and presales tasks needed to recognize opportunities and sell the products. Program account managers must provide monthly forecasts to their Cisco account manager, attend monthly meetings with Cisco channel account managers, articulate to customers the Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise architecture, demonstrate Customer Contact Business Unit (CCBU) applications, prepare technical responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), and provide sales support for installed customers.

Systems Engineer (Minimum of One Required)
Systems engineers assist customers with planning, designing, configuring, implementing, and integrating the systems required to support Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise solutions. The systems engineer is an essential member of the account team and is responsible for ensuring the highest level of technical account management. Responsibilities include:
  • Articulating Cisco CCBU products and solutions
  • Demonstrating Cisco CCBU solutions
  • Preparing technical responses to RFPs
  • Providing follow-up support for installed customers

Deployment Engineer/Tactical Support Engineer (Minimum of One Required)
The deployment engineer performs server platform hardware and operating system integration to Cisco product requirements and customer expectations. This role requires Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator skills. Deployment engineers are also responsible for developing the detailed contact center technical design, network interconnection platform requirements, configurations, and custom engineering definition. Responsibilities include:
  • Explaining Cisco CCBU products and solutions
  • Providing the customer with implementation planning and system design guidance
  • Providing installation test and turn-up services
  • Performing network discovery, design, and assessment; network traffic analysis; Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise impact analysis; topology design; and network performance tuning

Project Manager (Minimum of One Required)
This project manager is the single point of contact for the customer and will manage system deployment, from the sales handoff through the support and maintenance handoff of the system. Responsibilities include:
  • Traditional project management, including, but not limited to, identifying staffing requirements, kickoff meeting presentations, scheduling, and task assignment
  • Management of the total deployment project engagement, on time and to the customer’s expectations, for a successful system and high customer satisfaction
  • Management of customer, subcontractor, and sales team interactions during all product deployment phases
