Mobile Internet Technology Authorized Technology Provider Program (ATP)

The Mobile Internet Technology (MIT) Authorized Technology Provider Program (ATP) is an invitation-only program focused on bringing Cisco mobile packet core solutions to the wireless service provider market through qualified channel partners. The MIT ATP Program will help enable selected channel partners to market, sell, and deploy Cisco Mobile Internet Technology solutions, as well as to provide ongoing support to their wireless service provider customers.

To participate, you must already possess relevant job, industry, and market credentials in MIT ATP technology. Before engaging with potential ATP partners, a Cisco sponsor or Partner Account Manager (PAM) must proceed to the ATP Instruction Page for nomination, approval, and partner invitation instructions.

A successful MIT ATP partner has:

  • Expertise or certification in IP networking or mobile network infrastructure (mobile packet core experience is desirable)
  • Experience selling and integrating packet core technology in a mobile operator customer base
  • Experience selling network infrastructure to service providers, and the willingness to invest in personnel and training to effectively position packet core technology
  • Technical expertise to provide pre- and post-sales support to mobile operators
  • Ecosystem partnerships with technology vendors that are complementary to the mobile packet core domain

MIT ATPs also possess business and financial stability, and are comfortable with a longer sales cycle. Preference will go to those with Express Foundation or a specialization in routing and switching.

The Mobile Internet Technology ATP program can enable your company to:

  • Quickly build a channel to meet the demand for Cisco Mobile Internet Technology products
  • Offer opportunities for partners to increase revenue and profits through resell and service-based offerings
  • Identify, qualify, train, and promote Cisco channel partners to provide solution services for Cisco MIT products
  • Ensure high-quality Cisco MIT deployment and customer satisfaction

HOST ATP Requirements

Account Manager | Systems Engineer (SE) | Field Engineer (FE)

The MIT ATP Program has established three roles. They include account manager (AM), systems engineer (SE), and field engineer (FE). Role sharing is allowed for the SE and FE role. The individuals who fill the roles may be existing employees of the ATP Partner. Cisco does not require that the ATP Partner hire additional employees to fill these roles.

The personnel requirements identified in the following sections are minimum requirements to qualify for the MIT ATP program. ATP Partners should ensure that they have additional trained personnel as needed to support all customer engagements and their overall market opportunity. In addition to performing the indicated roles, these individuals act as the first line of internal support.

Following is a summary of training format, cost, and duration specifically for each role, as well as additional general training requirements. All costs and duration are approximate and may vary by region.
