The evolution of the Cisco Small and Midsize Business (SMB) Specialization represents a combination of the former Small Business (SB) and Small Business Foundation (SBF) Specializations.
The specialization's curriculum mirrors the architectural strategy of Cisco advanced-level specializations, positioning SMB partners to sell strategically across all technologies. Borderless Networks, Collaboration, and Data Center topics will headline the major training tracks, along with updated Services training. Cisco will also introduce training for cloud concepts, SMB-level Cisco TelePresence products, and virtualization and data center switching.
We have reduced the number of training courses-from 15 to four-all of which are available on the Partner Education Connection (PEC). All existing small business and SBF Specialization partners must take the SMB exams listed below before their small business or SBF Specialization anniversary date. This is necessary to maintain Specialization status and, by extension, Select Resale Certification.
** Japan SB and SBF partners have until June 2, 2014.

Certifications and IncentivesPartners who invest in SMB Specialization are eligible to apply for the Cisco Select Certification. SMB Specialized Partners may also participate in Cisco channel incentive programs.
Role Sharing Guidelines :
One qualified individual may fill both the account manager and engineer roles in the SMB Specialization.
