The Cisco Networking Academy Program helps bridge the gap between those who can effectively use new technology and communication tools, such as the Internet, and those who cannot. Academies located in underserved communities and countries help local people learn the IT skills they need to join the global Internet Economy. This site offers best practices, successful strategies, and useful tools for those organizations and Academies that support underserved populations around the world.

PLAN-IT Toolkits

The PLAN-IT resource consists of three toolkits in the areas of gender inclusion, workforce development, and financial sustainability. These toolkits provide materials to help Academies design action plans for success. The PLAN-IT toolkits are not intended to represent a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, they can be adapted as necessary. We encourage Academies to create tailored programs that reflect the conditions under which they operate.
