Cisco Express Foundation for Systems Engineers

The 642-372 CXFS exam is intended primarily for Cisco Channel Partner Systems Engineers. The exam tests a candidate's knowledge of assessing customers' wireless, security, and routing and switching requirements, providing technical descriptions of solutions, identifying specific advantages of selecting Cisco solutions and developing detailed network designs for a customer's network requirements.

Describe the benefits and technical advantages of key Cisco technologies and identified solutions

• Describe the benefits and technical advantages of the Cisco Access Routing & Catalyst Switching product families for small to medium business and small enterprises
• Describe the benefits and technical advantages of the Cisco Security product families
• Describe the benefits and technical advantages of the Cisco Wireless product families

Assess customer's technical and business requirements

• Conduct an initial audit of existing customer business and technical architecture
• Determine IOS software compatibility for solution
• Perform a wireless site survey
• Identify customers' current security risks

Develop an integrated solution

• Identify appropriate components for an integrated solution involving R&S, Security VPN, and Wireless
• Describe the technical benefits of implementing an integrated solution
