Q: Do I have to pay for my own travel and accommodations?

A: Yes, you are responsible for paying for your transportation to the event and for your hotel accommodations. Please see the Hotel & Travel Information section for hotel and airfare rates.

Q: What are the passport/visa requirements?

A: A passport, valid for at least 6 months from the intended return date, is required to enter the USA.

IMPORTANT UPDATE since Partner Summit 2005. If you are a national of any of the following countries, although you qualify to enter the United States on the visa waiver program, you will require a Machine Readable Passport: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium Brunei, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Q: How do I obtain a Visa invitation letter, if needed?

A: Please contact the Partner Summit registration team and they will send one to you.

The following information is needed in order to prepare a Visa invitation letter:

1. Your name as it appears on your passport
2. Passport number
3. Passport expiration date
4. Your country of origin
5. Your fax number
6. Full address of your Local United States Embassy/Consulate
7. Fax Number of your Local United States Embassy/Consulate

Upon receipt of the above information, a copy will be faxed to you for your verification. Upon receipt of your verification of all information, we will fax this document to the United States Embassy/Consulate.

Note: Upon completion of the above, you will be responsible for making an appointment with the United States Embassy/Consulate to acquire a TRV.

Q: Are there shuttle buses available to the San Diego Convention Center from the hotels?

A: Shuttle transportation will be available from the official Partner Summit hotels to/from the San Diego Convention Center. Most of the official Partner Summit hotels are within walking distance.

Q: How long does it take to get to/from the airport and how much does it cost?

A: It takes approximately 10 minutes and USD$8 via taxi to get from the airport to the San Diego Convention Center and the Partner Summit hotels within San Diego.
