Dr. Muhammad S. Benten Biography
Dr. Muhammad S. Benten is the CEO and president of the SaudiPost. He was appointed to lead the restructuring of The Saudi Postal Services and convert it into a privatized commercial entity. He was the Deputy Minister of Hajj, Umrah affairs, where he deployed a successful e-government project with the partnership of the private sector. The system serves over 5,000,000 Muslims who visit Saudi Arabia annually to perform Hajj and Umrah. He is a well known scientist as he was the Professor of Computer Engineering graduated for the University of Colorado, Boulder USA and became the Dean of College of Computer Science and Engineering at The University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. His research work in computer languages, operating systems and simulation techniques are among the well cited research efforts and have contributed to advancement in the field of computer science and engineering.
