Cisco Visual Networking
Digital video is changing entertainment and communications. See how Cisco technology enables content session shifting across television, computer, and mobile devices, delivering anywhere, any device access to your individual content. Watch how visual network solutions deliver content on demand integrated with social networking applications to deliver an entirely new video experience. See how it works with our interactive virtual demonstration using the Kaon Interactive Video kiosk. The demonstration animates IP packet flows on the network and emphasizes the roles of Cisco routing equipment, content delivery system (CDS) streamers, CDS vaults, and session routers.
Cisco Mobile Services iDemo
Service Exchange Framework
Cisco’s Service Exchange Framework for Mobile (Mobile SEF) is a standards-based framework that links the Radio Access Network (RAN) to IP networks and their value-added services while using the proven performance and carrier-class reliability of Cisco switch and router platforms at the network layer of the Cisco IP Next-Generation Network (IP NGN). Cisco Mobile SEF is an open platform that provides an intelligent services enablement and enforcement layer within the operator’s network and easily interfaces to the control elements in the IP network.
Cisco in the RAN
Fully interactive, animated demonstration of the two most popular Cisco in the RAN solutions, Mobile Transport over Pseudowires (MToP) and IP RAN-Optimization (RAN-O). This demonstration clearly illustrates the workings of a typical RAN. The demonstration offers both “before” and “after” views of the RAN, so viewers will see the true value that Cisco in the RAN offers.
Cisco Mobility Services
The Mobility Services iDemo highlights Cisco’s new Broadband Wireless Gateway for WiMAX, the enhanced GPRS Gateway Support Node (eGGSN), Wi-Fi Mesh Network services, Mobile IP Home Agent, and the Cisco BWX Series WiMAX basestations and antennas. The demonstration interactively shows:
- Multiaccess control
- Integration of gateway General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) support node (GGSN) and content services gateway
- eGGSN features
- Diameter Credit Control Application (DCCA)
- Policy enforcement
- Subscriber identity
- Quality-of-service (QoS) control
- Single element connections to other systems
- Single call detail record (CDR) point for all data traffic
- Handoff and control between eGGSN into WiMAX architecture
- Beamforming and multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) technologies in radio
- WiMAX Access Services Network Gateway services
Next-Generation Signaling
Cisco’s IP transfer point based on Cisco 7600 Series Routers coupled with Cisco’s database for telecommunications provides a complete carrier-grade core-signaling solution for next-generation networks. Cisco provides industry-leading Signaling System 7 (SS7), Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), and telephone number mapping capabilities while allowing the operator flexible deployment models to maximize network efficiencies.

Cisco Fixed-Mobile Convergence: Voice and Unified Communications
Cisco’s Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) Services portfolio enables service providers to deliver a connected life with choice and simplicity to businesses. The FMC Voice Service enables single number reach, single business voicemail, and transparent handoff between IP and mobile phones and is based on the Cisco Unified Mobility solution. The Cisco and Nokia Dual Mode solution allows mobile devices to be an extension of the IP phone on the Cisco WLAN campus. For FMC unified communications service, the Cisco Unified Mobile Communicator solution offers the capability of integrated call logs, consolidated visual voicemail, corporate directory access and click-to-dial on the handset, and seeing coworkers’ presence. FMC services create churn-resistant partnerships with businesses and increase average revenue per unit of scarce spectrum per square kilometer (ARPUS/Km
2).

Cisco Fixed-Mobile Convergence for Consumers and Small Office/Home Office
Cisco’s FMC solutions in partnership with service providers deliver new capabilities to consumers in the small office/home office (SOHO) marketplace. The Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router supports the T-Mobile Wi-Fi-enabled phone for calls and also provides up to two fixed phone lines. Calls are transparently transitioned as you move between the T-Mobile wireless network and your “home hot spot” wireless network. In addition, an integrated phone adapter enables high-quality feature-rich telephone service through your high-speed broadband connection and T-Mobile’s high-quality voice over IP service.
Displays
Cisco WiMAX Radio
The Cisco WiMAX Radio display includes the Cisco BTX-MX8 WiMAX Basestation, the RFS8 Antenna System, and a selection of Cisco and third-party subscriber stations (customer premises equipment, or CPE).The Cisco BTX-MX8 WiMAX Basestation is a commercially deployed and proven beamforming 802.16e system. This basestation is software upgradable and capable of beamforming plus MIMO functionality. The RFS8 Antenna System is a critical component for implementing Cisco’s beamforming and MIMO technologies. Together, the Cisco BTX-MX8 and RFS8 provide superior RF gain, resulting in superior range and throughput. Several WiMAX Forum Wave 2–certified subscriber station CPEs are shown; providing flexibility in form factor and application, including voice.

Broadband Wireless for Mobile and Branch Locations
Cisco Enterprise-Class 3G Wireless WAN Solution
The Cisco 3G Wireless WAN High-Speed WAN Interface Card (HWIC) on the integrated services router offers a compelling alternative to traditional wireline backup solutions on Cisco 1841, 1861, 2800 Series, and 3800 Series Integrated Services Routers. Powered by the widely deployed high-speed cellular networks, the cards offer cost-effective primary connectivity for rapid deployments, kiosks, ATMs, and telemetry applications. The Cisco 3G Wireless WAN HWICs provide a true multipath WAN backup solution that delivers higher performance than dialup/ISDN solutions at a fraction of the cost. The cards deliver WAN connectivity in a fraction of the time required to install a traditional wireline WAN connection.
Cisco Mobile Broadband for Mobile Workgroups and Consumers
The Linksys Wireless-G Router for Mobile Broadband allows you to set up a wireless workspace anywhere you go. The Linksys Wireless-G Router for Mobile Broadband enables you to share a mobile broadband Internet connection anywhere where a mobile operator’s 3G network has coverage. It has a standard PC card slot, and separate models are offered supporting Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T data cards (sold separately).
