The Cisco Powered Marketing Summit 2007 will be held at the Portola Plaza Hotel in Monterey, California, USA. The dates of the event are Tuesday, October 23 to Thursday, October 25, 2007.
What is the Cisco Powered Marketing Summit 2007?
The Cisco Powered Marketing Summit 2007 is a live forum for marketing, technical marketing and executive staff of Cisco Powered Program members worldwide. The event brings service provider marketing colleagues together with Cisco and industry experts for two days of intensive marketing training. This training is intended to help service providers deploy and aggressively market managed services to their customers quickly and profitably.
The event is open to all marketing decision makers employed by Cisco Powered Program members worldwide, but attendance is limited so be sure to register early to secure your place.
Are guests permitted to attend?
Yes. Attendees are permitted to register a guest, 21 years of age or older. Registered guests are not allowed in the sessions, but may attend the Welcome Reception on October 23, 2007. The Customer Appreciation Event on October 24, 2007, is for Marketing Summit attendees only. To register a guest for the Welcome Reception, please send your request to cpsummit_help@cisco.com.
Are children permitted to attend the Cisco Powered Marketing Summit 2007?
Children are not permitted to attend either the Marketing Summit events or the evening events; however, Monterey offers numerous family attractions. If you need to arrange for child care, please contact the Portola Plaza Hotel Concierge, Anne Roberts, for assistance at + 1-831-647-4430.
What is the registration process?
Simply complete the online registration form and submit as quickly as possible at http://www.cisco.com/go/cpms, as space is limited for this exclusive event. The first two hundred people to register for the event will receive Guy Kawasaki’s book, The Art of the Start.
How do I obtain a Visa invitation letter, if needed?
You must first register to attend the event before a VISA letter can be sent. You can request a VISA letter during the online registration process, or by sending an email to: cpsummit_help@cisco.com. You should receive the VISA letter within two weeks from the date of your request.
Is onsite registration available?
It is very important to register via the online registration site prior to the event because on-site registration is limited and not guaranteed. In addition, we cannot guarantee hotel room accommodations will be available. For these reasons, we highly encourage attendees to register in advance.
Attendees receive two days of intensive training that will help you rapidly and profitably market advanced services. Each day consists of general sessions, keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and evening events. You will leave with market research information about marketing services, contacts and tools for delivering joint marketing campaigns with Cisco, and knowledge of the best practices for defining and creating IP managed services, maximizing the power of your brand, generating revenue faster, and maintaining momentum after a service has launched.

Business casual attire is appropriate for the entire event. It may be cool because of the Monterey Bay breeze, so be sure to bring a light jacket for the evening events.

You will be able to make your hotel reservations when you register for the event. A room block is reserved at a discounted rate of USD$199 plus tax. Each additional person to a room is USD$20. The average temperatures in Monterey in October are in the high 60s Fahrenheit / high teen’s Celsius and sunny during the day, and in the mid-to-low 50s / low teen’s Celsius in the evenings. However, please bring a light jacket or sweater in case of rain or cold weather.

Please indicate your special dietary requirements on your registration web form. Cisco will make every effort to meet any special dietary needs that you may have.
What meals are included in the event?
Hors d’oeuvres and dinner will be provided on Tuesday evening, October 23rd. Continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided Wednesday, October 24th, and continental breakfast and lunch will be provided on Thursday, October 25th.

What mode of transportation do I use to attend the meeting?
Shuttle transportation will be provided by Cisco on Monday, October 22nd and Tuesday, October 23rd from both Mineta San Jose International Airport and San Francisco International Airport during the hours of 9am – 7pm. Exact pick-up times and locations will be provided at a later date. Approximate travel time from Mineta San Jose International Airport and San Francisco International Airport to the Portola Plaza Hotel is approximately 80 minutes and 120 minutes respectively.

Bus transportation will be provided for the Welcome Reception to the Monterey Aquarium on Tuesday, October 24th, the Customer Appreciation Event at Pirates Cove on Wednesday, October 25th is within walking distance of the Portola Plaza Hotel.
