 End-of-Sale/End-of-Life announcement for Cisco IronPort S670, X1070 Appliances - FIPS models
Cisco IronPort announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the following appliances
  • Cisco IronPort FIPS appliances (-F) :                  X1070, S670
The last day to order the affected appliance(s) is October 18, 2012. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco IronPort Customer Support as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s).

Action Items Date's Remarks
End-of-Life Announcement Date 27-Aug-2012 The date when the end-of-sale and end-of-life announcements of a product are distributed to the general public.
End-of-Sale Date 18-Oct-2012 The last date to order the product through Cisco point-of-sale mechanisms. The product is no longer orderable after this date.
Last Ship Date: HW 18-Jan-2013 The last-possible ship date that can be requested of Cisco and/or its contract manufacturers. Actual ship date is dependent on lead time.
End of SW Support date 18-Oct-2015 The last date that Cisco IronPort Engineering may release any Hot patch worthy Bug fixes, security vulnerability patches. After this date, Cisco IronPort Engineering will no longer develop, repair, maintain, or verify the product software on the applicable hardware.
End of Service Contract Renewal Date: HW & SW 18-Oct-2014 The last date to extend or renew an existing service contract for the product and for Software subscription services.
Last Date of Support: HW & SW 18-Oct-2015 The last date to receive service and support for the product. After this date, all support services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete.

Product Migration Options:
Cisco IronPort appliances will support FIPS Level-1 compliance in software in forth coming versions and will be included as part of base Async OS platform. Customers who want to use FIPS, are not required to purchase any additional license for the same.
