Introduction

Our education initiatives focus on improving access to knowledge and skills that will enable individuals and communities to thrive in the global economy.

Since 1997, our global Cisco Networking Academy program has delivered ICT training supported by online courses, hands-on labs, and interactive learning tools to help improve career and educational opportunities for individuals in communities around the world.

Global Education
The Cisco Global Education group aims to create a new paradigm of 21st century learning by engaging multiple stakeholders in a global discussion to find ways in which technology can support a holistic approach to education reform.

21st Century Schools
Our 21st Century Schools initiative is led by a team of Cisco Fellows who are working with school districts and partners to develop scalable, technology-based solutions for improving education and strengthening communities.

The Global Education Initiative
The Global Education Initiative was developed by the World Economic Forum to promote socioeconomic development through education reform in the developing world. It is one of the largest and most successful models of public-private collaboration for the advancement of education.

New Partnership for Africa's Development
The New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) is a comprehensive program developed by the African Union to address challenges facing the African continent. In support of NEPAD, Cisco is developing an education solution to promote the sustainable growth and renewal of Africa.

We also work with the following nonprofits to increase access to education around the world:
