While it is important to appreciate the position and work that a company like Cisco takes in its obligations to the broader societal, well-being, public sector entities play an enormously influential role in making such initiatives meaningful and in reinforcing their need. At the same time, the public sector has a duty to act as a good corporate citizen and to lead in areas of greatest importance.
