PARKING
Each hotel has its own parking area and it is free of charge. There are no parking reservations. It is based on the first come first served basis.

A) DIRECTLY TO THE HOTEL - We kindly ask that you provide us details of credit card just to guarantee your reservation. Your card will NOT be charged.

B) BANK TRANSFER - you will receive the invoice for the cost of accommodation to your e-mail address. Payer should cover all bank charges. All pending bank costs will be charged in cash on site.

In a case you do not proceed with payment within 5 working days, your registration will automatically be deleted.

Cancellation of accommodation

1. Cancellation till 120 days before conference - 20% of the total amount will be charged
2. Cancellation from 119 till 90 days before conference - 50% of the total amount will be charged
3. Cancellation from 89 till 45 days before conference - 70% of the total amount will be charged
4. Cancellation from 44 do 21 days before conference - 90% of the total amount will be charged
5. Cancellation less than 21 days before conference and NO SHOWS - 100% of the total amount will     be charged

The official language of the conference is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.

Registration and Hospitality desk

Registration desk is located at the level 0 of the Congress Center Lacroma. Hospitality/Info desk is located at the level 2 (reception level) and at the level 1 of the Lacroma congress center. Participants are able to receive all information about housing, transfers, sightseeing and social program on the hospitality desk.

Cancellation of participation

Substitutions of participants may be made so as to notify the agency MeetME the names of the original and the substitute user.

The 100 Euro fee charged in case of independently booked accommodation is not refundable.

Cancellations of participation and exchange of participants must be sent in writing only to the MeetME agency at sanja@meetme.hr

Cancellation of the conference

In case of vis major Cisco is able to cancel or terminate the conference.

Exhibition

For the duration of the Cisco Connect 2013 conference, participants will be able to visit the showroom of partners and sponsors where they will present products and services. Exhibition area is located at the level 1 of the Congress Center Lacroma.

Coffee breaks

Coffee breaks will be served on Tuesday & Wednesday according the programme. Refreshments will be served in front of the meeting rooms.

Lunches

Lunches will be served on Tuesday & Wednesday according the programme. Lunch will be served at the Lacroma main restaurant, level 0.

The Congress Center, Valamar Complex and Exhibition Area are accessible to delegates with disabilities.

Smoking Policy

The conference is smoke-free and smoking is not permitted in the Congress Venue and the Exhibition Area.

Insurance

It is strongly recommended that participants and accompany persons ensure that their own personal health, accident and /or travel insurance are up-to-date and valid for use in Croatia.  The organisers cannot accept responsibility for personal injury, loss or damage to property, personal or otherwise belonging to meeting participants or accompanying persons, either during or as a result of the symposium of during all tours of their stay in Dubrovnik.

Access / Security

Participants are requested to wear their badges at all times during the conference, social events and functions. Please do not leave any of your personal
belongings unattended during the conference.

It is a medieval city on the Croatian side of the Adriatic coastline and a treasure - trove of cultural - historical monument that were created throughout its thousand-year existence.

The walls of Dubrovnik girdle a perfectly preserved complex of public and private, sacral and secular buildings representing all periods of the City’s history, beginning with its founding in the 7th century. Since 1979 Dubrovnik is in the register of UNESCO as a protected World heritage. Particular mention should be made of the city’s main street in the old historical center - Stradun, Rector’s Palace, St. Blaise’s Church, Cathedral, three large monasteries, Custom’s Office and the City Hall. The Republic of Dubrovnik was the centre of a separate political and territorial entity, and was proud of its culture, its achievements in commerce and especially of its freedom, preserved in the course of the stormy centuries.

Climate

The climate in the Dubrovnik Region is typical Mediterranean. Average daily temperature in May is approx. 20 °C and nightly temperature approx. 12 °C

Time Difference

Croatia is on Central European Time, one hour ahead of GMT . It observes Daylight Savings Time, so remains one hour ahead of the UK, and six hours ahead of New York, all year round.

The electricity power supply in Croatia is 220 Volt and uses a European standard plug of round 2-pin type.

In Croatia, mobile phones use the frequency bands GSM-900 and GSM-1800. As a courtesy to other participants, please turn off your mobile phone when entering any of the meeting rooms.

Credit Cards

All major credit cards are accepted in hotels and ATM s are available.

Banks/ATM machines

Banks are generally open Monday through Friday, 7:30 - 19:00 and are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Closest ATM machine is available 1km away from Lacroma hotel.

Currency Exchange

The official currency in Croatia is Kuna (HRK). Kuna notes are issued in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000. Coins come in denominations of 1, 2 & 5 Kuna and 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 lipa pieces. Exchange can be carried out in banks, exchange offices, post offices and most hotels.

Transportation

Public bus transportation timetable available on the http://www.libertasdubrovnik.hr/gradski.pdf. Line 6 takes you from Babin Kuk (Congress Venue) to Pile gate (city center) and back. Additional information is available at the info desk. Ticket can be purchased either at hotel’s reception at price of approx. KN 8 (EUR 1,20) or directly in the bus at the price of KN 10 (EUR 1,40). Exact change is necessary. Ticket is valid within 1 hour, in all directions/busses within the city area. Taxi is about 65 kunas (8 EUR ).

Shopping

Stores located in the old city are open mostly from 09:00-20:00 from Monday-Sunday.
