Broadmeadows – a region in Victoria, Australia with 17 schools
Challenge:
To improve the literacy and numeracy outcomes of students attending schools in the Broadmeadows area. Also to increase student retention through to year 12, using technology in the classroom.
Solutions:
A scalable IP-based network to provide connectivity, bandwidth and a services delivery platform. The network was designed to be the foundation for next generation teaching and learning.
Results:
Broadmeadow schools move from bottom to second highest in state’s rankings
15% increase in literary as a result of implementation ( between 2004-2010)
Classroom behaviour and student motivation significantly increased
Improved perception around teacher effectiveness
