Security : Security Setup

This page allows you to set up and manage the security features. This page is only used when VLANs are disabled. To enable the security features, you must go to the User Information page and create a user with Administrator, Identity, Firmware, and Write capabilities.

Settings

Displays the Login window, where the user can log in if he or she hasn't done so already. This Login link is the same as the Login link that appears at the bottom of every page.

User Manager

Use the User Manager link to enable or disable the security features.

Change Current User Password

Displays the User Information window. The User Information window also displays the user's assigned capabilities.

To change your password, type your existing password in the old password field. Type your new password in the new password field, and retype it in the confirm password field. Click Apply.

User Information

Use the User Information link to add users to the system, remove users from the system, and assign user capabilities. To enable system user-level security, use this link to add a user with administrator, Identity, Firmware, and Write capabilities, and then go to the User Manager screen to enable the security features.

Authentication Server

Use the Authentication Server link if you need to enter the authentication settings.

VLAN Setup

This link takes you to the VLAN Setup page where you set radio data encryption for VLANs on the access point. The VLANs must be enabled to use this link, otherwise use the Radio Data Encryption (WEP) page.

Radio Data Encryption (WEP)

This link takes you to the Radio Data Encryption page, where you can set up to four data encryption keys and enable WEP.
