Products Affected CSACS SE - CSACSE-1113-K9
Upon a reboot, the CS ACS 1113 Appliance will not retain the previously configured IP for its Network Interface Card. The user will have to configure the address each time.
This issue has been seen in new units being sent to customers.
The unit will not have a valid IP address for its Network Interface Card and will not join the network, pass traffic or authorize users.
The are several ways to resolve this issue
1) Download a patch for ACS version 4.1 found at this location:
You will need to download the following two files:
Patch filename: applACS-4.1-set-ip-CSCsm73656-Patch.zip
Readme file and installation instructions: applACS-4.1-set-ip-CSCsm73656-readme.txt
The patch can be applied to all ACS SE 4.1 versions.
Complete instructions for applying the patch can be found in the readme.txt file. If you have difficulty in applying the patch files because the ACS 1113 appliance will not boot from the DVD ROM drive, then you will need to reference Field Notice 63111.
2) Applying 184.108.40.206.7 cumulative patch -
Patch filename: applAcs-220.127.116.11.7-CSUpdate.zip
Readme file: applAcs-18.104.22.168.7-Readme.txt
which can be found here:
3) Reimaging the appliance with 22.214.171.124.1 Recovery CD. You will have to contact Cisco TAC for access to this software.
