Formerly Linksys Business Series, now Cisco Small Business Smart Switches, the Cisco SLM248G4S Gigabit Smart Switch contains many of the quality-of-service (QoS) and security functions found in Cisco's advanced routers. A cluster of six total switches can be created and managed through an easy-to-operate, intuitive web interface.

The SLM248G4S supports up to 48 connected devices with a maximum speed of 200 Mbps per port. Its included traffic management functionality allows it to maintain a top-quality user experience for high-bandwidth applications. Included gigabit networking ports allow for future network expansion without sacrificing speed or quality.

Additional features of the Cisco SLM248G4S Gigabit Smart Switch include:

• A non-blocking switching capacity of 17.6 Gbps
• Port-level security using 802.1X authentication and MAC-based filtering
• Support for up to 128 port- and 802.1Q-based VLANs
• Network expansion with options like resilient clustering technology, link aggregation, and spanning tree
