End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the Cisco VPN 3000 Memory Upgrade Kits
Cisco Systems® announces the end of life of the Cisco® VPN 3030, 3060, and 3080 memory upgrade kits. The last day to order the Cisco memory upgrade kits is May 14, 2004. The last-date-of-support milestone does not apply, as service and support contracts are not available with upgrade kits. Concentrators with valid service contracts will continue to receive support. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco VPN 3000 Memory Upgrade Kits. Table 2 lists the product numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco VPN 30XX Memory Kit, which offers the same or greater amount of memory at a comparable or lower price point. Information about this product can be found at:
http://www.cisco.com/go/vpn3000.Table 3 provides relevant information for migrating from the Cisco VPN 3030, 3060, and 3080 memory upgrade kits to the new 30XX memory kit.
Product Migration Options
The recommended replacement for the Cisco VPN 3030, 3060, and 3080 memory upgrade kits is the new Cisco VPN 30XX Memory Kit (Table 3). This kit offers the same or greater amount of memory at a comparable or lower price point. The 512MB RAM upgrade kit is supported in the Cisco VPN 3030, 3060, and 3080 Concentrators.
The last-date-of-support milestone does not apply, as service and support contracts are not available with upgrade kits. Concentrators with valid service contracts will continue to receive support.

The new combined 3030, 3060, and 3080 kit is intended simplify the ordering of memory upgrades for our customers. The new kit also offers the same or greater amount of memory at a comparable or lower price point.
