Cisco Systems announces the end of sale of the Cisco PIX Firewall one-time upgrade to OS Version 4.2 for non-support customers.

Product Substitution
The recommended replacement for the one-time upgrade to OS Version 4.2 is the Cisco PIX Software Compact Disc. This new part offers all currently shipping PIX OS versions, VPN client software, and related documentation, on a single CD.

Support
Cisco will continue to provide support through the SMARTnet™ service program. Customers with SMARTnet service contracts are entitled to 24-hour phone support through the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and advance replacement of hardware.
