End-of-Sale Announcement for
Cisco Secure PIXTM Firewall

Introduction

With the increasing adoption of high-speed network interfaces, such as Gigabit Ethernet, Cisco Systems announces the end of sale of the PIX™ FDDI.

Affected Part Numbers

Product Substitution

The recommended upgrade path for the FDDI is Gigabit Ethernet. In addition, the PIX 535 uses a higher-performance 64-bit, 66-MHz Gigabit Ethernet interface, providing up to 1 Gbps of throughput.
