Dynamic Random Access Memory and Flash Memory Increases in Cisco 827-4V Router
Effective July 3, 2003, the Cisco® 827-4V Access Router's default dynamic random access memory (DRAM) increases to 48 MB and the Flash memory increases to 12 MB. The Cisco 827-4V list price will remain the same.
The Cisco 827-4V Access Router provides data and integrated voice capabilities for small offices and teleworkers. Using Cisco IOS® Software, the Cisco 827-4V allows users to securely connect to the Internet or corporate network with secure firewall and VPN capabilities. Additionally, the Cisco 827-4V has four integrated analog telephone ports for VoIP connections back to a service provider or corporate voice network.
Effective immediately, the default DRAM memory configuration is upgraded from 32 MB to 48 MB while the Flash memory is increased from 8 MB to 12 MB.
Additional DRAM and Flash Memory are being provided to ensure the Cisco 827-4V Access Router will be able to support new versions of Cisco IOS Software that deliver new and more powerful security features. The memory enhancements to the Cisco 827-4V will allow customers, resellers, and service providers to benefit from the greater capabilities that Cisco IOS Software offers today and in the future. Investment protection is also increased because the risk of truck rolls to upgrade the memory is negated.
