Flash Memory Increases in Cisco 831, 836, and 837
Secure Broadband Routers

Effective May 30th, 2003, the Cisco® 830 Series of Secure Broadband Routers' default Flash memory increases to 12 MB. The Cisco 830 Series list prices will remain the same.

The Cisco 830 Series of routers provide advanced security for data, voice, and video access, ideal for small offices and teleworkers. Cisco 830 Series routers utilize a wide range of integrated security services and advanced quality of service (QoS) features as well as easy deployment and remote management features with Cisco IOS® Software.

Effective immediately, the default Flash memory configuration is upgraded from 8 MB to 12 MB.

Additional Flash Memory is being provided to ensure the Cisco 830 Series Access Routers will be able to support new versions of Cisco IOS Software that deliver new and more powerful IP services. The memory addition to the Cisco 830 series will allow customers, resellers, and service providers to benefit from the greater capabilities that Cisco IOS Software offers today and in the future. Investment protection is also increased because the risk of truck rolls to upgrade the memory is reduced.
