Release 12.2(2)XI

Introduction

This product bulletin describes the new features introduced in Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.2(2)XI for the Cisco 827 DSL/827-4V, 806 Broadband Gateway, Cisco 801-804 ISDN, and SOHO 77 routers.

New Features

The following key features are supported with 12.2(2)XI:

•NAT Passthrough with raw IPSEC VPN clients (available for all models noted at bottom of All feature sets)

•DHCP Option 12 for Cable Service Hostname entry (available on 806 on All feature sets)

•XOT X.25 over TCP (available for Cisco 801-804 on PLUS feature set) Allows to send and receive X.25 information over the B channel of the ISDN interface

•H.323 Caller ID and International Phone Support (limited devices tested, available on Cisco 827-4V only on All feature sets)

Chip/Clear for H.323 for Italy and Denmark, supporting the following devices:

Siemens Gigaset 3015 Class Model Telephone

Telecom Italia MASTER s.p. LUPO VIEW Telephone

Alcatel Dial Face Mod. SIRIO 2000 Basic A Telephone

The features delivered with this ED release will be incorporated into a Release (and supported in subsequent maintenance releases) as yet unnamed, delivered three releases after 12.2(4)T.

Life Span

12.2(2)XI will be sold until Cisco IOS Software this as yet unnamed, future release (three releases after 12.2(4)T) is made available on CCO.
