Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(2)XF

Introduction

This product bulletin describes the new features introduced in Cisco IOS^® software release 12.1(2)XF.

Important Note

Updated c800 family (Cisco 801-804 models ONLY) initialization to ignore the CPU type from the IMMR and always load the micro code for the MPC850. The BUG-ID related to this fix is CSCds37736.

New Features

12.1(2)XF is an early deployment (ED) release that is primarily targeted for the Japanese market. This release delivers support for Cisco 811 ISDN router and Cisco 813 ISDN router platforms:

•New 800 series routers

•Two models

-811 (one Ethernet, integrated ISDN, console port)

-813 (four-port Ethernet hub, Integrated ISDN, console port, two analog ports)

•8 MB DRAM (on board) that can be upgraded to 16 MB

•4 MB FLASH (on board) that can be upgraded to 12 MB

•Two switches - Normal/Reverse, DSU "ON/OFF"

•Supports INS-64 voice features

The features delivered with this ED release will be immediately incorporated into the 12.1(4)T release. Therefore, maintenance for these features should be obtained from the 12.1T release.
