End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the Cisco Gigabit Ethernet Interface Processor for the Cisco 7500 Series Router
Cisco Systems® announces the end of life of the Cisco® Gigabit Ethernet Interface Adapter (GEIP) for the Cisco 7500 Series Router. The last day to order the Cisco GEIP is April 30, 2004. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until April 30, 2009. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco GEIP. Table 2 lists the part numbers for affected products.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the higher-performance Gigabit Ethernet Interface Processor Enhanced (GEIP+). Information about these products can be found at:
