Introduction

The Cisco 7300 Internet Router is designed for the network edge where high performance IP services are required to enable profitability, service differentiation, and business agility. Utilizing a compact, modular form factor, the Cisco 7300 delivers high-touch IP services at optical speeds necessary for applications such as the high-end enterprise, service provider edge, and managed service customer premise equipment (CPE).

Feature	Description
MPLS and MPLS VPN	Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) and MPLS VPN are now available in the PXF-switching path on the Cisco 7304 router. Cisco IOS® MPLS fuses the intelligence of routing with the performance of switching by labeling traffic and using the labels to forward traffic across MPLS domains. MPLS provides significant benefits to networks with a pure IP architecture as well as those with IP and ATM or a mix of other Layer 2 technologies.
NAT	Network Address Translation (NAT) is now available in the PXF-switching path on the Cisco 7304 router. NAT provides a mechanism for a privately addressed network to access registered networks, such as the Internet, without requiring a registered subnet address.
