End-of-Sale (EOS) Announcement for Cisco 2500—
Models 2503, 2507, 2520, and 2524Cisco Systems is replacing ONLY the low-volume Cisco 2500 series models. This product bulletin provides information regarding product availability, the products affected, and substitute products.
Note:
The following Cisco 2500 series models will NOT be impacted by this announcement: Cisco 2501, 2509, 2511, and 2514
Reasons for the EOS of Low-Volume Models:
End of sale on select models on the Cisco 2500 series is due to:

New ISDN-BRI requirement in EMEA
•
Extremely low volumes indicate diminishing demand
•
Component suppliers exiting business
•
Memory constraints with the introduction of Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.0
•
Substitute with the New World, modular, multi-service 2600 series products
•
Reduce complexity for manufacturing, support, and TAC

In order to enable us to plan the EOS of these select models, we encourage account teams to place their final orders for these models early.
