Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until May 27, 2008. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the CDM-4650.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco 7305 Content Engine, which is based on the newest hardware and ACNS software versions providing superior performance and flexibility for a significantly reduced list price. Information about this product can be found at:

Product Migration Options
The recommended replacement for the Cisco CDM-4650 is the Cisco CE-7305 (Table 3). The CE-7305 is built with next-generation hardware and with the latest major release of ACNS software (version 5.0) installed to deliver leading edge performance and enhanced features for a significantly reduced list price compared to the CDM-4650. The new ACNS software, version 5.0 or greater, allows greater flexibility by enabling all next-generation hardware Content Engines to assume the role of a Content Engine, Content Distribution Manager or Content Router product. The CE-7305 is shipped with ACNS version 5.0 or greater installed and requires a minimum of ACNS 5.0 to be installed on all Content Engines that it manages when acting as a CDM. Content Engines that were purchased with ACNS 4.x software can be upgraded to ACNS 5.0 without the need for new hardware.
