End-of-Life Plan
Overview
The Content Networking Business Unit (CNBU) is announcing the end of life (EOL) for the following IP/TV® products with part numbers IPTV-3411-CTRL, IPTV-3415-START, IPTV-3422-BCAST, IPTV-3423-BCAST, and IPTV-3431-ARCH. Comparable functionality will be provided with the following new parts: IPTV-3412-CTRL, IPTV-3417-START-M, IPTV-3424-BCAST-W, IPTV-3425-BCAST-M, and IPTV-3432-ARCH.

End-of-Production Date
End of production will occur in July 2001. The new products supersede the old ones and fully replace them.
Last Software Support Date
The last software support date will be July 2003; the last supported version of software is intended to be IP/TV Version 3.1.
End-of-Support Announcement
The end-of-support announcement will occur in July 2003.
Date for Discontinuing Renewal of Contracts
Existing service contracts will be honored. Customers will be encouraged to upgrade to new systems. Contracts will not be honored beyond the end-of-support date of July 2003 for the software or hardware.
Obsoletion
The IP/TV products being discontinued herein will be declared obsolete in July 2006.
