Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the select Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Power over Ethernet (PoE) Daughter Card. The last day to order the select Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Power over Ethernet (PoE) Daughter Card is November 13, 2007. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Select Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Voice Daughter Card. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.

This End-of-Sale announcement is only for the spare Product Part Number (WS-F6K-GE48-AF=). Pre-configured linecards are not affected by this announcement.
The suggested replacement product (WS-F6K-48-AF=) is software-transparent for the legacy features of the end-of-life product (WS-F6K-GE48-AF=). It has, in addition, power-management features that are available in software releases CatOS 8.5(1) and IOS 12.2(33)SXH.
Customers can use the Cisco Technology Migration Plan (TMP) to trade in products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment. For more information about Cisco TMP, go to: http://www.cisco.com/go/tradein/. The Cisco TMP application requires all users to have a Cisco.com user ID.
