Cisco Systems® is changing the product codes for the SONET Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) modules used by the single-port and 2-port packet-over-SONET port adapters (PA-POS-1OC3 and PA-POS-2OC3). There is no change in functionality, compatibility, or compliance of the SFP modules. The new SFP product codes are orderable now.
PRODUCT CODE TRANSITION
Table 1 details the new SFP product code that will be applicable for PA-POS-1OC3 and PA-POS-2OC3.

Beginning September 1, 2005, the former product code will no longer be valid for use with PA-POS-1OC3 and PA-POS-2OC3 configurations.
