Community and Philanthropy

In 1992, a group of employees looked out of their office windows and decided to do something about the struggling elementary school next door. They climbed the fence, rolled up their sleeves, and got to work. Since then, Cisco's ongoing support has helped that school grow stronger, and our social investment efforts have expanded to a global scale.

Today, we leverage technology to help build strong and productive communities worldwide, maximizing our social impact through the same strategic approach that sets our business apart. Our mission is to promote technology and innovation in nonprofits and contribute to lasting positive change focused on basic human needs, access to education, and responsible citizenship.

"We share our tools, talent and technology to help build stronger, more productive global communities."
– Tae Yoo, Vice President, Corporate Affairs.

Strategic Investments

Strategic social investment can bring major changes in the standard of living for our communities as well as create equal opportunities for people in challenged, underserved communities. We support such organizations as they respond to communities in immediate distress, and we help expand their long-term capacity by encouraging the innovative integration of technology into their operational strategies.
