Next Generation Connected Factory with Intelligent Automation, and Security.

The intelligent factory experience center aims in demonstrating the advantages of the integrated connected factory, built on a unified Ethernet/Wireless network as compared to the traditional factory made of disparate networks. The unified Ethernet/Wireless based connected factory becomes the platform that enables newer services viz, visual factory, RFID based employee and Asset tagging, seamless voice communication between IP and RF based phones and analytics that enables 360 degree real time financial view of factory operations. All of these services combined with the unified Ethernet/wireless network makes the factory more intelligent and enables to achieve more with less spending by way of

    1. Improved Factory productivity with no additional investments on factory Assets
    2. Improved operational responsiveness
    3. Reduced time to market newer innovations

    8:45AM - 10:45AM & 4:00PM - 6:00PM

End-to-End Virtualised and Application Centric Data Center Zip file

Although virtualization and infrastructure automation have been of important use at Data Centers for resource optimization, the evolution of how applications are built nowadays demand for a new application-centric approach. This is mainly due to the mobile-cloud and containers-based application development reality; the fast growing "Big Data way" of building scale-out applications; the emerging DevOps models for IT and the upcoming Internet of Everything effect.

Because applications' outcome and associated data are the ultimate asset that - altogether with the network - touches multiple layers within the Data Center Management, an application–centric approach to its infrastructure is what's really needed, even further as almost all Data Center Managements do run legacy, traditional and cutting edge applications side-by-side, each of them with distinct infrastructure requirements.

This ACI environment will be a full policy-based forwarding infrastructure and the journey will go through a secure multi-tenant implementation inclusive of physical, virtual and containers-based workloads as well as inclusive of storage, L4-L7 services and WAN connectivity. All these elements together will then become the sources for an ACI policy-based forwarding required for effective Data Center Management planning, design and deployments.

This session will cover Cisco Application-Centric Infrastructure (ACI), its elements and how it actually works. However, this session will approach this by inviting you to a "end-to-end journey" inside an Application Centric environment.

Speaker: Brijesh Shah, Technical Solutions Architect, Sales

    11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Fabric Innovations and SAN Zip file

We will focus on LAN and provide an overview on the industry trends and how the Data Center Fabric Designs are evolving to meet these changes. We will trace the Data Center Fabric journey with a deep look at technologies like Virtual Port Channel (VPC), FabricPath, Unified Fabric Innovations, as well as the current shift towards open standards and Software Defined Networking, i.e., Virtual extensible LAN (VxLAN) and Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). Interconnecting Data Centers with Overlay Transport Virtualization (OTV) would also be covered as part of the session.

We will focus on Storage Area Networking (SAN) and provide an overview of the technology and the deployment scenarios. We will trace the evolution of storage networking technologies, discuss industry trends and review how Cisco's SAN portfolio helps meet the demands of today's mission critical Data Centers. We will be reviewing the performance, reliability, high availability and multi-protocol flexibility attributes required for storage workloads today and discuss how some of Cisco's innovations help meet these requirements. We will also discuss the prospect of LAN-SAN convergence and how FCoE helps achieve the same.

    Speaker:

    Abhishek Sharma, Technical Marketing Engineer

  • 28 May
    4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

    Cisco Security Strategy Zip file

The latest trends in the ever-dynamic threat landscape indicate that the increasingly motivated and persistent attackers are shifting attack vectors, using low profile techniques to evade detections, exploiting user behavior and security gaps. The attackers use a systematic approach to infiltrate, understand the target security environment, launch the attack and leave without leaving any trails. It is no longer 'if' but 'when' organizations will be subject to attacks. Defending against these attacks requires a new security model that is threat-centric and employs security controls that span the entire attack continuum of before, during and after attack. This session highlights Cisco's new security model and the comprehensive threat intelligence and security portfolio spanning across the attack continuum to defend against the ever-changing threats.

    Speaker:
    Samir Saklikar, Technical Leader
    Amjad Inamdar, Senior Technical Leader
    Ismeet Singh, Technical Marketing Engineer

  • 28 May
    8.45 AM - 10.45 AM

    BYOD and Simplification Zip file

This session covers different BYOD deployment use cases, based on the type of network access allowed by an organization. The focus is to cover how Converged Access Architecture empowers your network to handle the exponential increase of wireless devices with BYOD. It will walkthrough the Converged Access Design for Campus and Branch deployments. Finally we will look how Converged Access deployments with all the best practices can be simplified with Cisco Prime Infra.

With operation costs of networks coming under the radar, network simplification and management is a key area where a different can be made. Starting from the smart port feature, auto smart ports, ASI, interface template and PnP, there are a lot of features that have simplified network operations. This session will cover the simplification features in the access layer and distribution layers. It will cover the control plane simplification features as mentioned above and also the data and control plane simplification that is brought about by instant access. The session will go into depth about Instant Access Solution Overview, Features and Capabilities. It will also bring into focus the Plug and Play Discovery, Image Management and Configuration if IA Client and some features like Easy VSS and Auto Fex. At the end of the session the audience will have a complete understanding of how Instant Access Architecture further simplifies Borderless Network Deployment scenarios in enterprise or campus network.

    Speaker:
    Sunil Kumar, Technical Marketing Engineer
    Laxmi Mukund, Senior Technical Leader

    APIC-EM Zip file

This session would cover the concept and need for Enterprise Software defined Networking (SDN) & what it means to You and Cisco. In addition to touching base on various industry approaches to SDN like Openflow, we will mainly introduce APIC-EM as part of this session, which is Cisco's Enterprise SDN controller and cover it's architecture in detail. We will discuss it's positioning with respect to existing solutions, it's key benefits, the use cases it solves today and what can be done with this in the future. We will spend time explaining how this makes networks truly programmable by getting deeper into API's exposed by the controller.

EPN-Segment Routing and ACE Zip file

The constant endeavor to make the network Simple and Agile leads the technology evolution. This has brought us to IP/MPLS network from Simple plain IP network. With the proliferation of cloud based applications and the demand for more Agility from the networks lead us from MPLS to Application Engineered Routing. Application Engineered Routing uses the label switching paradigm of MPLS but it simplifies the Control plane by making LDP and RSVP redundant. This simplification of Control plane helps in achieving better scale by way of stateless nature, and faster network convergence. In addition, Application Engineered Routing enables the applications to decide on the flow path based on the SLA requirements of the Application. This session will offer a deep dive on how to make your network simple and agile by Application Engineered Routing.
