8:45AM - 10:45AM & 4:00PM - 6:00PM
Although virtualization and infrastructure automation have been of important use at Data Centers for resource optimization, the evolution of how applications are built nowadays demand for a new application-centric approach. This is mainly due to the mobile-cloud and containers-based application development reality; the fast growing "Big Data way" of building scale-out applications; the emerging DevOps models for IT and the upcoming Internet of Everything effect.
Because applications' outcome and associated data are the ultimate asset that - altogether with the network - touches multiple layers within the Data Center Management, an application–centric approach to its infrastructure is what's really needed, even further as almost all Data Center Managements do run legacy, traditional and cutting edge applications side-by-side, each of them with distinct infrastructure requirements.
This ACI environment will be a full policy-based forwarding infrastructure and the journey will go through a secure multi-tenant implementation inclusive of physical, virtual and containers-based workloads as well as inclusive of storage, L4-L7 services and WAN connectivity. All these elements together will then become the sources for an ACI policy-based forwarding required for effective Data Center Management planning, design and deployments.
This session will cover Cisco Application-Centric Infrastructure (ACI), its elements and how it actually works. However, this session will approach this by inviting you to a "end-to-end journey" inside an Application Centric environment.

The latest trends in the ever-dynamic threat landscape indicate that the increasingly motivated and persistent attackers are shifting attack vectors, using low profile techniques to evade detections, exploiting user behavior and security gaps. The attackers use a systematic approach to infiltrate, understand the target security environment, launch the attack and leave without leaving any trails. It is no longer 'if' but 'when' organizations will be subject to attacks. Defending against these attacks requires a new security model that is threat-centric and employs security controls that span the entire attack continuum of before, during and after attack. This session highlights Cisco's new security model and the comprehensive threat intelligence and security portfolio spanning across the attack continuum to defend against the ever-changing threats.
