Cisco to host the Annual Foundation Technology Roadshow for Channel Partners
Showcases latest routing and switching solutions in New Delhi, Pune and Chennai
New Delhi, July 19, 2005 - Cisco, the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, today announced that it will host a three city roadshow on Cisco's latest routing and switching solutions for the enterprise market. This would include product updates on the latest ISR (Integrated Services Routers) series of routers as well as updates on its Catalyst range of switches introduced by Cisco in May this year.
The annual Foundation Technologies Roadshow scheduled for 21st July in Pune, 25th July in New Delhi and 28th July in Chennai is targeted at the Account Managers and System Engineers from Cisco's Channel Partner community. The roadshow will give the participants an opportunity to learn about Cisco's latest and newest core technologies, solutions and products, understand Cisco's unique value proposition and advantages over competitors in the market. The roadshow will also provide intensive technical updates on key networking technology areas which would also include Cisco's Network Management Software and the Industry leading IOS software.
The Indian networking market grew at a rate of 29 percent reaching Rs 5261 in 2004-05 as per estimates by Voice and Data 100. Cisco currently leads the Indian routing and switching market with a dominant market share of 78.8% and 70.9% respectively. It has a total LAN market share of 74.1% as per IDC LAN Tracker Quarter 1.
