Introduction

H.323/SIP IP Gateway for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 works with the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server to provide meeting access to callers. The gateway supports up to 960 IP connections. The Audio Server supports connections from up to 16 IP gateway servers; this multigateway support provides network load balancing and system redundancy.

Caution H.323/SIP IP Gateway for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 is not compatible with Cisco Security Agent. We recommend that you do not install Cisco Security Agent on a gateway server where H.323/SIP IP Gateway for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 is or will be installed.

Upgrading to H.323/SIP IP Gateway for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0

Upgrading a legacy H.323/SIP IP Gateway for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace system to Release 6.0 requires a legacy third-party Windows server with system specifications comparable to Cisco MCS specifications required for the same deployment. Error appears when upgrading the H.323/SIP IP Gateway for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace.

The H.323/SIP IP Gateway for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 should always be installed with a user ID that has administrative privileges, and the same ID should be used when upgrading to prevent errors due to installer limitations. If an upgrade is required using a different ID, the product must be uninstalled (using the original installer's ID) and then reinstalled using the new ID.

Step 1 To access the Bug Toolkit, go to http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/action.do?hdnAction=searchBugs.

Step 2 Log in with your Cisco.com user ID and password.

Step 3 To look for information about a specific problem, enter the bug ID number in the "Search for Bug ID" field, then click Go.


For information about how to search for bugs, create saved searches, and create bug groups, click Help in the Bug Toolkit page.

Open Caveats

There are no open caveats for H.323/SIP IP Gateway for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 that meet this criteria:
